Yay Pawnage 2.0 is finally released

Another thing that I would like to try in time is Linux Mint. It has a very refreshing and elegant look for an OS. Nice review here. Beautiful themes can be found here too.

It feels a lil weird coming back to use Linux/BSD again after 3 years away. I am not sure why I was put off by Open Source after changing jobs, perhaps it reminded me too much of my previous job where I strongly advocated the use of FreeBSD and I hated the place.

Anyway the last 2 weeks I’ve been furiously trying to get up to speed again with Open Souce news and technology, and have attempted and successfully installed Snort on both OpenBSD and FreeBSD, with BASE and Barnyard. I’ve opted to use Lighttpd due to some glowing reviews and reports that Wikipedia, Youtube and my favourite Meebo are using them. Well actually it was due to Apache1.3 giving me tons of core dumps error when paired with PHP5, but yea Lighttpd is pretty cool .

Today i renewed my love for aviation again. This guy’s photos are awesome.

This photo pool really awakens my desire to fly. I wish i am able to overcome my interview fear and send the application form so that i can realise my life long dream of flying. What do i fear? My fear is to screw up the interview and never be able to get the chance to try again. But if i don’t try, i will never know what may happen? Geez…

Is it time to move on in my career life? It’s not that i’m not getting any job satisfaction, i have lots of freedom here and get to learn alot of new stuff…

But the rewards handed out doesn’t seem too balanced. Undeserving people getting double promotion just because of their bosses, while i only received 3% when company did so well? Monetary rewards may not be the be all and end all in life, but there should still be a minimum standard right?

Wow barely an hour after posting this, one of my colleague told me she’ve tendered…
